One of Cincinnati's most amazing summer programs is
Muralworks, a collaboration between the city of Cincinnati and the non-profit, Artworks to install murals in various Cincinnati neighborhoods.
Two of the newest murals in our neck of the woods honor a pair of Cincinnati icons, Jim Tarbell and Samuel
Hannaford.
The Tarbell mural is a quirky welcome to the ever-growing Gateway Quarter of Over-the-Rhine.
Check out 5chw4r7z's post here for some picsJust a few blocks north is the mural honoring the works of Samuel
Hannaford and Emanuel's unique view of Washington Park.
Visualingual has some pics and comments on the mural here.
While some have commented about the mural appearing on the south side of the building (on Race St. which is one way Southbound), keep in mind that the plans for the Washington Park garage call for 13
th to be made two ways to
accommodate a Race Street entrance to the underground garage.
In the meantime park-goers and pedestrians enjoy!
